For over thirty years the Pottsville Museum in Merlin, Oregon has hosted the Pioneer Days Antique Engine and Tractor Show. This annual event has grown to become the largest antique tractor show and swap meet in Southern Oregon and Northern California, with more than 200 vendors offering everything from antique engine and tractor parts to early American arts & crafts.
Pioneer Days is held on the Saturday and Sunday of Father's Day weekend in the middle of June, with the swap meet bringing sellers from from the west coast all the way to the east coast and everywhere in between. You may find vintage cast iron cookware, turn-of-the-century quilts and unique farm equipment.
Tractors, from old workhorses to antique, will be on display for all to enjoy, and you won't want to miss the always-popular Parade of Power and Big Guys Tractor Pull. There is also a kiddies tractor pull and tractor-pulled wagon rides around Pottsville.
Other exhibits include saw milling, threshing and hay bailing, soap making, rug hooking, blacksmithing, spinning and weaving, wood carving, gold panning, basket weaving, broom making and quilting by the Hugo Ladies Club.
Rounding out the fun for the entire family are food, booths, arts & crafts, live bluegrass music, face painting, a petting zoo, plus pony and kiddy rides for the young ones.
