The Biggest Show In Oregon Brings Deep-Fried Foods, 4-H & FFA Exhibits, Carnival Rides, Headlining Concert Acts And More Together For The Annual 'Oregon State Fair'
Here comes the fun, so grab your family and friends and head on down to the Oregon State Fair. If you love the fun atmosphere of a fairs, livestock shows, carnival rides and the weirdness of things like deep-fried Oregon Roadkill and deep-fried chocolate chip cookie dough balls, then this year's fair is for you!
The fair starts during the last week of August and runs for eleven straight days with a long list of competitions, attractions and vendors who sell everything and anything: from food to toys to electronics to clothing to nearly anything you can think of. This fair is the place to find unique handmade arts and crafts that you won't find anywhere else!
In addition to 4-H and FFA horse exhibitions, open class livestock will compete for ribbons and bragging rights. while small animals like cavies, rabbits doves and poultry are eager to meet and greet in the Poultry Building.
Entertainment includes magic acts and the ever-popular Talent Search, while the 6,000 seat L.B. Day Amphitheatre hosts concerts by some of music's biggest stars. Artists that have performed on the stage include Foreigner, Chris Young, Kenny Loggins, Hunter Hayes, Melissa Etheridge, Everclear, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Montgomery Gentry, Motly Crue, Creedence Clearwater Revisited and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Every year the lineup gets bigger and better.
