The Pacific Crest Trail brings you to the base of Pilot Rock and after climbing to the top you'll enjoy an awesome panorama that includes views of Mt. Shasta and Mt. McLaughlin.

  • 4 mile round-trip to Soda Mountain; 10 mile round-trip to Boccard Point
  • 800 to 1200 feet elevation gain depending how far you travel towards Boccard Point

Hike to the Soda Mountain lookout and enjoy three separate biological regions along the way. In one you'll find forests of fir next to incense cedars and desert sagebrush. Continue on your trek to Little Pilot Rock and then to Boccard Point for really incredible views of river canyons and high mountain peaks.

Nice hike through wildflower meadows along the Pacific Crest Trail with views of Mt. Shasta.

  • Easy if hiking through Lithia Park; difficult if going the distance around the entire Ashland Creek watershed area on a bike
  • 3 mile round-trip through Lithia Park; 28 miles around entire Ashland Loop Road
  • Lithia Park is open all year; Ashland Loop Road is accessible April through November

Lithia Park is beautiful with its many flowers, Japanese garden and Ashland Creek's pools and waterfalls.
