About the Talent workshop

Southern Oregon Climate Action Now hosts this free workshop Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at Talent Public Library, 101 Home Street. It is intended for SOCAN activists and friends, including staff, volunteers and board members who support people affected by climate-related stress or grief.

Through discussion and practical exercises, participants will explore ways to manage their own reactions, strengthen peer support and recognize when to refer someone for mental health care. Maud Powell of OSU Extension and social worker Zoe Rossing facilitate. The organizer asks people planning to attend to reply through its event page so it can prepare refreshments. Jackson County Library Services says it does not sponsor or endorse the program.
