Choose the stay before the sightseeing route

A yurt, an electrical campsite and a tent site solve different needs. At Valley of the Rogue, use the site map and reservation details to match your equipment. For county parks, read the selected campground's page rather than transferring amenities from another park. River-corridor sites and an Interstate 5 base are different starting points for a day of sightseeing.

Check the site rather than the campground name

Confirm vehicle length, tent space, hookups, water, toilets, showers and the route to facilities. Valley of the Rogue identifies two accessible campsites; reserve the accommodation that matches your needs instead of assuming all sites have the same access. Check pet rules for the specific yurt or campsite. A 'pet-friendly' category does not apply to every unit.

A day-use permit is different from an overnight booking

Valley of the Rogue requires a day-use parking permit. Its 1.25-mile interpretive walk is separate from the longer Rogue River Greenway corridor through the park. If your plan is only a picnic or walk, use the day-use instructions. If you are camping, confirm overnight arrival and checkout with the reservation.

River access and fire restrictions

Check the land manager's current access and fire notices before departure. BLM notes limits on riverbank camping and private land in the recreational corridor; a launch or pullout is not permission to camp. Bring the booking details and a map, and ask the operator about current fire or cooking restrictions rather than relying on a previous year's stay.
