Walk the Table Rocks

The Bureau of Land Management lists no fee for the Table Rocks. Upper Table Rock is about 2.5 miles round trip and Lower Table Rock about 3.5 miles. The shorter Oak Savannah Loop is an accessible option at Lower Table Rock. These are day-use hiking trails; the BLM says there is no drinking water and dogs are not allowed on the trails.

Choose the route that fits your group. The mesas have exposed sections, so check heat, smoke and current trail access first.

Make a Lithia Park walk

Follow Ashland Creek through the park near downtown. The city lists paths, picnic areas, restrooms and a playground, and also advertises free guided walks when they are scheduled. The city does not allow dogs in Lithia Park except service animals, so plan a different stop if your dog is coming.

Explore downtown public art

Use the visitor bureau’s self-guided public art walking map to choose a short route through historic downtown. Pair it with a stop at Riverside Park for river views. Shops, meals and reserved facilities may cost extra; the walk itself can stay simple.

Look for a library program

Local libraries list story times, classes and community activities. Check the individual event for its age range, registration and any cost before going.
